This is in my opinion, Michael McIntyre's funniest ever skit. Hysterical. Just watch and laugh.

The Name is Bond, James Bond.

I've always liked James Bond and I'm still a fan, although I think that the last 2 films have really been rubbish. I just watched Thunderball with Sean Connery (who I think is by far and away the best James Bond), and it really is in a world of its own when you compare it to Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace. Daniel Craig has got absolutely nothing on Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan.
My favourite James Bond ever, although it's close, has to be Tomorrow Never Dies. Pierce Brosnan was really good, there was a good supervillain in Elliot Carver. There were some really cool gadgets and more importantly it also taught me a bit of German!
For me though, my top villain has to be Jaws, who gets blasted off into space at the end of Moonraker. He is basically indestructible and awesome at the same time.
I do hope that sometime in the future (preferably sooner rather than later) Daniel Craig gets dropped and somebody else better comes in (I'm thinking an English Matt Damon, if there is such a thing).

What's in my dock?
I decided to do a what's in my dock video, as I just thought I'd show you what apps I use and like. If you google the names of the apps, you'll find more details. Expect more videos in the future, I do realise that I have been doing an awful lot of written posts lately.
Check out my about me section, as it is being updated regularly with new info, like all the tech that I own and use.

I'm Learning Italian!

Languages are important. I really don't want this to come across as if some super nerd, but I already speak two languages fluently (French and English) another quite well (Spanish) and so I thought I'd start Italian.
Why Italian? Well it's another European language and I also adore the country. Not to mention that in my opinion it's the most beautiful language out there, and I'm even more motivated as I support an Italian footy team (AC Milan) and my idol in life is Italian (Marco Pantani).
Just for now, I got myself a pretty cool course, which os really good as it's designed to go on your iPod so you can listen it well at school and get it repeated tons of times which is good. It was also pretty cheap, 15 quid, and you get 900 basic words, 250 key phrases and the key verbs.

Velasquez just beat the crap out Lesnar, baby!

Everybody going into UFC 121 was ranking Velasquez as the underdog, me included, even though I did want him to win. What he has shown is that he is by a long mile the best heavyweight in the whole of the MMA.
I'm a big fan of Velasquez, and even though he's not my favourite fighter (that honour has to go to Cro Cop), I was really delighted that he won. I've never liked Lesnar whether it be in the WWE or the UFC and what Cain's victory shows is that you actually need talent. You can't just be ripped and weigh 264 pounds to win and defend titles.
Lesnar did start the fight on the offensive but Velasquez soon got him under control and after Lesnar got taken down, it really was finished. Cain bust him open in seconds and about a minute later IT WAS ALL OVER!!!

Last Big Update (v.1.3)
Well this is going to be the last big update to my blog. You will see occasional tweaks, and the theme might change in the future, but there are not going to be any new big features or anything in the near future. And of course, this last update is a massive one:
-Firstly, the biggest thing: I have purchased the domain henrytg.com! . It's the first time I've ever owned a domain name so it's pretty cool and exciting. I'm really trying to get serious with this blog. All the other domains I have will still work.
-Secondly, I have added all the domains that redirect to my blog at the bottom left hand corner of the page, so you can see them clearly and so it's clear.
-Thirdly, and finally, I now have a Facetime account. You can find all the details on my About Me page.
So that's it! Not many changes, but there is one massive one, which alone is itself a big update.

Review: Astound Sound Stereo Expander

This is a genius bit of software, that I purchased a few days ago. What is it you ask? Well, it's a program that enhances your sound. Big time. It's not at all like crappy free sound enhancers you download which don't actually change anything, this bit of software gives you what they call "4D sound" and what I call surround sound. It's hard to explain, however they do luckily have a demo of the sound quality it produces on their website, to listen, click here.
What's also very good about it is that it is customisable and has three different modes which you can play around with for Films, Music and Games. I've tried the program out with a film, and it's sensational. Really it's impossible to describe. Music you hear a clear difference from normal sound and it's also brilliant, but for me, it's really when you watch films that it's breathtaking. And for the Games, I haven't really experimented a lot (Flight simulator was all I tested it on and it didn't sound bad) but I think that if you are playing an action game like Counter Strike online, it could be really bloody awesome.
If you want good sound, I really suggest you should get this. It's 40 dollars or 26£ but using a special code (ASE-JHHM-I) you can get it for roughly half price. It's well worth the money. It's also one of the rare times that the slogan of a company in dead true: "Hear it. Believe it."

Back to the Mac.

The event has only just finished, and to be honest, I'm pretty disappointed with what Apple had to offer. Here is a quick review of what was announced and what I think about it:
-iLife 11: It started off well, with iPhoto being shown off, and I can't deny it looked good, with some cool new things like an improved fullscreen mode and picture geo-location and just generally a way better user interface. However then it came to iMovie, and I was really excited about this before hand, but in fact they've just made it more complicated. They've added all sorts of audio editing features that look complicated and also all sorts of complicated effects and stuff. Probably the only thing I liked in the new iMovie was the fact that they allow you to easily create trailers. But if you're movie is short, what's the point? They then talked about Garageband, but nobody really cares about that. The one thing that surprised me was that they didn't mention the new iWeb, meaning that it's probably not changed, which for me is disappointing. Costs 59 dollars and you can order it off Apple today.
-Facetime for Mac: For me, this was the best announcement of the morning or evening, depending on where you are. It looks really good and simple, and syncs all your contacts you already have on your computer. You can download it today for free off Apple's website.
-Mac OSX Lion: This was only a sneak peek, but we got the concept. Lion will basically combine iOS and Snow Leopard. There will be a new Mac App Store (which comes out in around 90 days for Snow Leopard) and other features such as Launchpad, which basically takes you to your pages of apps, like on the iPhone or iPad. I have to say I like the idea. I will get it when it comes out and I think it's really ingenious: essentially the Mac will become like the iPhone or iPad. Lion will be released next summer (2011).
-MacBook Air: By a lightyear the biggest disappointment of the night for me. They released two different versions an 13.3 inch version and an 11.6 inch version. They have based them all on flash memory so no hard drives. What Apple have done in doing this is made the Macbook Air practically unmodifiable, which for me is insane. The SSD is, from the pictures, soldered to the motherboard and the RAM looks pretty hard to change as well. I've never honestly liked the Macbook Air, and for me it's got worse. The only good thing I can say about the MB Air is that it has got a bit thinner. They are on sale today with prices going from 999 to 1599 dollars depending on the model.
I think that out of all the new stuff announced, I'm only really interested in Mac OSX Lion which I'll buy when it comes out and Facetime, which I'll download as soon as I can.

Wayne Rooney: The Downfall

Rooney wants out. It's official. The thing is though, who wants him? Not many people, apart from maybe Man City who'll buy anyone whose expensive and earns a fat pay check. Ever since the end of last season, he has been in free fall. Everybody realised this at the World Cup and the thing I really don't get is, if he's out of form and has off the pitch problems, why play him.
Both Capello and Ferguson seem intent on doing so and it's weird. Surely if a player's no good, you don't play him?? I think that it could be because they're scared of making Rooney a sub. He's got a reputation and they're worried that he might get pissed off (which he already is). Admittedly, Fergie did put Rooney on the bench against West Brom, but he didn't before and later brought him on.
If I were Rooney's manager I would leave him out of the squad until he's soreted all his problems out of the off the pitch then bring him back and play him not as an out and out striker, but as an offensive midfielder. Rooney has lost his crucial finish that he had last season, however he still picks out very good passes, so I think he would be more suited to playing in that position.

Michel Estevan: The Best Manager in the World?

I bet you're thinking Michel who? But the fact is what he did was incredible. His feat definitely deserves credit. He's unknown out of French footy. But I like to keep up with it and so that's why I know this manager.
He joined Arles-Avignon 5 years ago, who were at the time an average team in the CFA2. Now in English footy terms, they were the equivalent of Cambridge United in the Blue Square Bet Premier, i.e NON LEAGUE!!
He got them promoted 4 YEARS OUT OF 5!! That's right, and now they find themselves in the Ligue 1, the top division in France. I don't really know how he did it, and I doubt it's ever happened before. It's insane! It's what you want to happen when you're playing Football Manager!
He has recently been sacked as Arles Avignon are not doing that well in the Ligue 1 but what the hell do you expect? If I were a top club looking for a new manager, this guy would probably be my first choice. So Liverpool, if you do decide to get rid of Roy, there are perfectly good unemployed managers out there...

Liverpool Finally Bought
Liverpool have avoided administration. Just. Quite honestly I was hoping that they would go into admin, just so they could clean out everybody and start over, but instead they have a saviour in John W Henry. He already owns the Red Sox and is not the richest owner, but he has now payed off their debt and he is optimistic about Liverpool's future.
The thing that worries me is that this guy doesn't, I don't think, know much about footy. Yes, of course he is better than Hicks and Gillett and he is willing to learn, but the fact is that Liverpool need very good footy knowledge very quickly. They're in the relegation zone, they're arguably still short of money and they're playing Everton this weekend, and honestly, I think Everton will win.
But, I do think that with time, maybe in a season or two, Liverpool will rediscover their previous level, or at least I hope so. No way to Tottenham or Man City replace Liverpool in the Big Four. The four teams are in stone in my opinion. What have Tottenham or Man City ever given english football apart from aggressive fans and money respectively?

Changing the Battery on a Macbook/iBook
A quick tutorial for anybody wondering how to change the battery on an iBook or Macbook. There are some exceptions but most work like this. It's a pretty simple procedure but I got a new battery for my iBook G4 a few days ago so I just made a tutorial for the heck of it.

Madin Koroghli
This kid is insane. He's only 6 or maybe 7 now, but he is a prodigy. He is Algerian and he has already mastered all the tricks. Just watch and learn. It's unbelievable.

My Top 5 Planes on Flightgear

I decided to do a bit of a geeky post: these are my top 5 planes on Flightgear. The order here also corresponds to how I would rank them in real life.
NOTE: Most of these do not come with the game. You have to download them separately here. Also bear in mind that this whole program is open source, so there is the occasional bug.
1)The Spitfire (pictured): It was a close run thing between this and the Harrier, but I have to go Spitfire as number 1. it's a legendary plane, and it's easy to fly on Flightgear once you get the hang of it. It's also realistic: you have to start it up the old fashioned way which I find really cool. And it produces a really authentic Spitfire noise.
2)British Aerospace Harrier (Harrier for short): The thing I like best is by far VSTOL (Vertical or Short Take Off and Landing). As the name suggests, it allows you to take off and land vertically, and it really does work in Flightgear. It's very useful in real life, especially when taking off from aircraft carriers. It goes fast and you can easily control it and perform tricks in it. One minor issue is that it's already moving a bit the moment everything has loaded, so you need to hit brake if you don't want it to go off into a field.
3) Boeing 777: Easily the easiest plane to control in Flightgear, Easy to take off in (just hit autostart) and to land. There is no obvious flaw with this plane either, as it comes with the game when you download it. You can also change the livery so you can have your plane in the colours of Air France or KLM.
4)MiG 15: Again, easy to fly, small but good fighter. Good plane to start off with. You don't need much runway to take off and the design of it is pretty cool.
5)Antonov AN-225: This baby is the world's heaviest aircraft and although she is cool to look at and the engines are massively powerful, landing and controlling the thing is probably extremely hard for somebody who has just started out on Flightgear. But even despite that it's a really good plane.

Frankie Boyle
I've got a lot of work to do, so this is just a vid I found of Frankie Boyle's best jokes. Brace yourself, some are pretty mean! THIS IS NOT MY VIDEO, I JUST FOUND IT ON YOUTUBE.

FAILblog!!
I adore FAILblog. If you are ever in a really bad mood, or want a good laugh, just go to failblog.org or the Youtube channel. I will add these two links to my Links page. The variety of stuff you get is pretty crazy (from nunchuk fails to backflip fails) there is everything.
Practically every single fail has cracked me up. Admittedly, some are better than others, but I urge every person who is reading this to go and check them out. My favourite fail has to be between this one and, oh almost every single one. But this one has got, if you look closely, a double fail, so it's even more funny.
Again, go check out my Links page for links to both sites. Otherwise just type failblog Google...

LEGO!

One of the things I have never grown out of is LEGO. Ever since I was tiny, I liked it. I admit, I did have some periods where I really wasn't interested, but I've always liked it at heart. Practically every Birthday/Christmas I ask for a LEGO set.
My collection is quite large, though nothing when you look at what some of the people have got on Youtube. I was into collecting Star Wars LEGO until roughly a year ago, when I decided to drop Star Wars and take up LEGO City. After all, it is the classic collection, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper. With SW LEGO, they have to pay George Lucas a whole ton of money.
Even though I do have a massive box of random LEGO bits, I don't really like coming up with my own creations. I'm more of a collector, who adores building LEGO when you have a set of instructions. Also, quite simply, 99.9% of the time, the genuine LEGO set will look a whole lot nicer than your own alternative.
Lastly, LEGO has a hell of a lot of uses. You can even build houses (James May's Toy Stories, check it out!) and Gary and Sergei Brin, the Google brothers, even built their first server racks out of LEGO, when they didn't have much money (I got this from The Google Story, again good book, worth a read).

My Top 7 Fave Tricks for FIFA 11 [PS2]
To conclude my series of posts on FIFA 11, I have decided to make a video with my top 7 favourite tricks from the game. These are for the PS2 version, and they will NOT work on PS3. I have included instructions on how to do them in the video.
I was fed up of all the trick tutorials being for PS3, so PS2 users, enjoy!!

FIFA 11 Review: PS2

I have to say, I think the version of FIFA 11 for PS2 is awesome. Many things have improved, and if I was asked which one I would buy, between the PS2 and PSP version, I would say PS2.
Although it does not have all the features that the new PS3 version has, it still has a new goalkeeper mode, like the PSP, which as mentioned before, I think is pretty pointless. But I will half take back my comments about EA Sports ruining the Career mode. They've definitely made it more complicated, as they've merged the Be A Pro mode into it. That's why you have the choices at the start. I still think they should have been different. But Manager is the mode you want to select if you want it like before. And it's very good. One small thing I like is that they update the scores of the other games on the screen when you are playing your match.
There are some minor things that are not so good, but they are very similar to the PSP. The Be a Goalkeeper mode is slightly stupid and also, when you sign players, it automatically defaults them to number 2, which is unrealistic.
If you like footy though, definitely go buy this game! It's well worth it!

Henry TG's Blog v1.2
It's time for a new version of my blog. There are quite a lot of new things:
-New theme and logo! Is cooler in my opinion than the last one and just looks slicker. New logo also with catchphrase. It's pretty cheesy, but I quite like it.
-My shop. A new page where everything that I selling online is listed. I prefer this idea to a donation page, as it's easier, better and more secure for both parties. I sell various things, mainly second hand books and video games though.
-A search box. Came with the theme, allows you to search the blog and all the old posts I have made.
-Several new links added to the Links page.
-A new domain. http://tiny.cc/henrytg will also now redirect you to this blog.
-Lastly, Cartoon of the Week. I wanted to do something different than a boring old gallery so I decided that every week, I will put a cartoon effect on a photo of a celebrity. For this first week, as you can see, it's Ronaldinho.
FIFA 11 Review: PSP

This is going to be a weekend of game reviews. Its was UFC two days ago, it's FIFA 11 for PSP today and it'll be FIFA 11 for the PS2 tomorrow.
For the PSP, I have to say, FIFA 11 is a lot better. The graphics are better, there are new commentaries and the action is just a whole lot smoother, compared to FIFA 10 which for me was quite buggy at times.
There are also some new techniques and tricks on the pitch that are good, you can hold off your man properly for example. Another thing that isn't really bad or good is that I was playing at professional on FIFA 10 before I got FIFA 11, now I can play world class no problem. I don't think my skill level has improved overnight (if it has, great!), I think that they have made the levels quite a lot easier.
There are quite a few bad things in FIFA 11 though, that I'm not too pleased about. Firstly, and most importantly, they've ruined career mode. They claim it's new and better but in fact it's just way more complicated. On the old career mode you clicked career mode, you made your manager, and you played. You controlled the transfers, the wages, and the playing on the pitch. In the new career mode, you get the choice at the start to be a player, player manager, or manager. Don't understand this at all? What's the one you choose so it's like the last career mode. Manager, player-manager, who the hell knows? Player managers don't even exist in the top class of world footy. One more thing, is their new be a goalkeeper mode, which is plain stupid. Unless you play as a crap team against Chelsea, you have practically nothing to do all match and you just get bored. Besides you can be a keeper in a normal match, just press triangle!
