Jon Jones: Unstoppable?

At UFC 135, Jon Jones defeated Rampage Jackson with a submission, in doing so becoming the only person ever to not gone the distance with Rampage. It is fairly obvious that he is the new big thing in the UFC, and arguably the most talented fighter (a part from Anderson Silva).

Jon Jones has talent and he will probably dominate the light heavyweight division for the next few years. Whether he will repeat the truly extraordinary feats of Anderson Silva in the middleweight division is a different question. He's undefeated in the UFC, but I don't think he's unstoppable like Anderson Silva.

Beating Rampage like he did showed his skill, but I think everybody, me included, would like him to fight Rashad Evans. He is somebody who is in top form at the moment and somebody who he hasn't yet fought. I feel this could be a much closer match-up and they would go the distance. Another opponent who could potentially cause Jones some trouble would be Matt Hamill.

Hamill beat Jones on the Ultimate Fighter a few years back, and even though Jones has improved massively, I feel it could still be a close matchup than with Rampage or Shogun Rua. Looking at the light heavyweights in the UFC, I think that there are still a few top fighters he has to beat before it can be said conclusively that he is one of the best of all time.
