I rarely write about the English rugby Premiership, but I figured since I'm going to see the Wasps play Northampton at the weekend, there could not be a better time. The Wasps have had some very tough times recently, and it's pretty sad to see. They are very close to bankrupt, all their top players have left or are leaving, and Shaun Edwards has also just resigned from his coaching position.
I have a soft sport for Wasps, even though I will be supporting the Saints at the weekend. I saw them play in Heineken Cup Final in 2007, and you can't recognise today's team. In 2007 all the big names were there: Dallaglio, Sackey, Shaw, Cipriani etc... Shaw has just announced that he is joining Toulon, so it really is a completely new team.
I hope they don't go bankrupt, as it would be a real shame for the whole of rugby. They were one of the biggest teams in the past along with Leicester (who are also doing badly), so it would be great to see them regain some momentum.
